Here is the way to make your laptop a WIFI Router.

You can connect multiple systems on one network without using any WIFI device you will convert Your laptop into a WIFI device

You just need one system connected to INTERNET through ETHERNET and you will use this system to make an AD-HOC connection which will share net with other systems.

Very Simple process.

Goto start > control panel > network and sharing centre > manage network connections > go to properties of internet enabled connection > sharing > check both BOXES and SAVE.

Now set up a connection or network > setup wireless network or AD HOC and make new connection 

After that connect other users to the new connection you made and start sharing your net with others.
