Crazy Kart Premier League (CKPL) Cash Points

The CKPL races will be held every weekday (Mon – Fri) from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm in Zone 7 of the General Channel. Enter any of the CKPL race rooms hosted by different GMs to join in the event. Just race to the end and you could walk away with some GREAT PRIZES!

For every CKPL race you finish, you’ll get points added to your League Score. The more points you stack up, the more your chances of grabbing maximum amount of Gold Points everyday!

But that’s not all! At the end of every week, the Racers with the top score will get a BONUS prize ofCash Points!!!

And all you have to do to be part of the action is just Log in, Race and Win!
For every race you finish, depending on your rank, you’ll get League Points added to your score:

Daily Prizes:
The more you race, the higher your score will be. At the end of every day, based on your score for that day, you could win Gold Points!

Every one who scores within these ranges will get the GP prize. You must come online the following day between 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm to claim your prize.

- The CKPL will take place every weekday (Monday to Friday) from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm in Zone 11 of the Tournament Channel.
- There will be 4 official League rooms hosted by GM characters at one time (their character names will begin with “GM- Host #“). Don’t be fooled by fake rooms.
- Races will start automatically as soon as the room is full (and not before).
- Joining a League Race will cost you 2 GP so make sure you have at least that much before you try to enter.
- As soon as the race is over you will find yourself out of the room. Simply join the next available room directly.
- You can participate in any number of races as you can get into.
- Prizes will only be given out only if you complete the race. We are not responsible if you get disconnected or log out.
- All League races will be held in Single Power-Up mode, so plan your strategies accordingly.
- Only Indian Citizens are allowed to participate in the League Races. Other nationals will not be awarded any League Points and/or Prizes.

F-Secure's chief research officer Mikko Hypponen has warned people worried about being infected by malware not to use Firefox.
Firefox has long been regarded as a safer alternative to Internet Explorer. However, Hypponen claims those running Firefox on Windows are at greatest risk.

"A vast number of the attacks are for Windows, because the majority of the users are on Windows, that's the logic. If you're really worried just don't use Windows - there's plenty of alternatives," Hypponen told.

"Same thing applies to your web browser. You don't want to surf the web with Firefox because most of the attacks now are targeting Firefox and older versions of Internet Explorer, so don't use those."

Hypponen's comments are shored up by a recent security report from Secunia, which claimed that over the course of 2008 Firefox reported more vulnerabilities than all of the other browsers, though it addressed them quicker than its rivals.

Hyponnen also warned users off Adobe's own software for reading PDF files. "You don't want to read your PDF files with Adobe Reader because everybody is using it, get something else," he warned.

We were awaiting comment from Adobe, Mozilla and Microsoft at the time of writing.

Hypponen was speaking as part of an interview on internet security that will appear in issue 176, which goes on sale on 15 April.
